I can't do a BT...it says call some 800 number... I have clicked every-which-way from every different link place... I'M NOT OVER-LIMIT... FOR A FACT, THEY OWE ME MONEY...THAT SHOULDN'T CAUSE A LOCK UP!!!
We're Sorry Unfortunately, we are not able to process your request at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please call Customer Service at 1-800-678-0745, (24 hours a day, 7 days a week) for assistance with your Balance Transfer. Please have your account number ready when you call. Business Capital Line customers who would like to transfer a balance to their account should write their business check out to the (non-American Express) bank. Thank you.
My guess is that it's the debit that they owe you that causing the system to spit out that message. It probably can't calculate the appropriate credit amount from an account that has a debit owed to the customer (does that make sense)? Sounds like they need to fix THEIR system too. And, oh yeah, screw EQUIFAX! (Just thought I'd add that as they are my enemy of the month!)
George, I am always checking their site for a good rate, and 90% of the time, I get that message. I just keep going back and clicking the link again and it usually works after a few tries. Once in a while I can't get it to work at all. I think their site is just screwy...
I don't like Amex's BT system. Post-intro rates are generally uncompetitive, processing is slow and they sometimes actually pull a hard for each BT. Saar
Never PULLED a "HARD" for a BT...NOT COMPETIVE...I don't care...I finally got 9.99%!!! ...even though others have 5.90%...I WAS TOLD I CAN'T GET THAT "ONGOING" BT RATE...
