Hi all, I recently got an Amex Hilton card with a limit of 2K. Does anyone know if Amex grants CL increases on new accounts if you request it ? I could transfer some of the CL from my Blue and Optima cards, but I would like to keep them at 5K and just raise the Hilton limit. Any suggestions ? Thx.
If you just got it recently, call them and ask. They were very agreeable with increasing mine. Tell them you want it for something special. A trip, you're getting married, something nice and juicy....
Breeze is right. Call Amex, ask for New Accounts. Then ask that they put in a request for a re-evaluation of your credit line. You should have a response in 2 business days. This can only be done during the first 30 days after your card was issued; If it was issued more than 30 days ago, you'd have to wait till the account is 6 months old. Saar
