I have a closed by creditor, paid in full collection from my Amex Corporate Card on my CR's. I've been having a hell of a time trying to get Amex to send me a letter that this account is a corporate account. It is listed on my CR's for account type as "individual". Does anyone else out there have a corporate card on their CR, and is listed as an individual account? Isn't this considered an error in reporting? Thanks!
You need to work a deal with AMEX to remove the account. You know they only report their corp cards when the account goes bad.
I have an AMEX Corp Card and it does not appear on my CRs. I read somewhere, I think maybe on this site a long time ago, that the only time AMEX Corp will appear on your CR is if the account is past due. Lisa
Kev, I did dispute the account a few months ago because it wasn't showing as paid (paid in full 7/2002). All 3 cra's verified with Amex Credit Bureau Unit..but they are reporting paid, but differnetly ( I think I wrote about this before so I won't go into too much detail). My main concern is that on all 3 CR's the paid collection is listed as an "individual" account. I don't know if this is the norm for Amex, but it's screwing me up big time. 3 weeks ago I talked to Amex and asked them to send me a letter saying that the account was indeed a corporate card account. Shocker, I haven't received the letter yet. So last night I called Amex corp again...and they gave me hell, and the number to Amacomp - records retention for Amex. I found out that Amex is NOT suppose to give out that number and Amacomp wouldn't release any info to me.. so..I'm about to call Amex again - and flip out - wish me luck!
