Hi Im new here although I have been lurking a while! as many here, I am currently trying to clean up my credit and bring up my scores, upon reveiwing my 3 reports I notice that my Amex Gold Corporate card is not reported on them however my previous closed blue Amex is? I first received my Amex Corp card yrs ago through my previous personal blue Amex when I had a small business however it was through my personal credit and has always been billed to me? any suggestions? I have always been in good standing with this card and feel it would help my score? I thought about calling Amex to ask but I dont want to arous any reasons to run my credit. I appreciate any suggestions or opinions anyone can offer. thanks
So you are saying when you had the green corporate card it was reported? Or the actual blue card? From what I know, corporate cards are not posted on your CR..
corporate cards will not show up on your personal reports unless you have negative issues with them. Yes, sucks. However, as your credit progresses AMEX will look at all your relationships with Amex in deciding to give you another personal card in the future. Progress with your credit while adding personal cards and you'll get there.
Marie: How 'bout if I had an optima with them before and there was a chargeoff.. but now have estabished a corporate card with AmEx and have had perfect payments for about 1 1/2 years now? Is there any chance I would be able to get one on my own or am I still in the blacklist and never able to get one until i pay off the chargeoff?
Not Marie but.... Am/Ex will not let you get another card until you pay your past debt. I'm surprised you got a Corporate Card.
So does that mean I possibly slipped by? Or does that mean the backing of my huge firm is what helped me out? If you are on the blacklist, do they even do a credit check? I am considering applying once my credit is positive again, but don't want inquiries when I know I will get declined... so if they do the blacklist check first thing before the inquiries hit, then I will try.. do you know offhand?
I guess you did slip by. Or maybe there's another reason why you got by. Is the name and ssn the same as the information they have on the charged off account? I am under the impression that if you apply and you are on the blacklist, you are automatically rejected before a credit report is pulled. I could be wrong. Ask Saar......he might know.
