Yes! I've been sooooooooo wanting this card for a long time. I applied last week and just called Amex new accounts division. The automated message said I was approved! I waited for a person to talk to and it was confirmed Credit limit=8k! APRrime+8.49=12.49 Oh well, I will never carry a balance on this card! I shop at Costco constantly! Btw, I'm sure they pulled Equifax. My Equifax Fico is around 650 or so. I couldnt believe they gave it to me. I do have a green card with perfect payment history for the past 3 years or so. They matched my limit on my Chase Perfect card of 8k. Thanks AMEX!! P.S. I love the way the card looks!!

Re: Re: Amex Costco Platinum card approved! I forgot to mention that I have 9 inquiries on my Equifax report. I really would have bet against getting approved. I guess Amex has some type of internal scoring as well. Perhaps they are not solely fico based?
