TransUnion is reporting my Amex credit limit!!! The difference between reporting my previous $3400 balance/limit and my $8000 limit & $3400 balance...64 points. From a 732 to 796. I also decreased my debt load by $1000 so this may play a part in the point hike. But I still believe it was mainly due to using only 43% of my credit limit compared to what they had previously reported... 100%. It goes to show, how much inaccurate and incomplete information hurts consumers. One down, two to go.

How did you get it to report?

Terrific! Maybe they will change their tactics to something that benefits their customers.

I didn't. I pulled my Experian and Equifax reports online to see if they were reporting my limit (they aren't). TransUnion I had to wait for the report via snail mail and it was already reporting. I think it is a fluke. Amex refuses to even report limits. The only way to get the limit reported is to go through the credit bureaus. Maybe someone working inside Amex's Credit Bureau is revolting and realizes how unfair the system is and is posting limits for individuals that he/she is issued to report to on. :)

They use special software to report. They can designate what gets reported and what doesn't when they set up the software.

I just confirmed that my Citi AA is not reporting limits. I have a good limit w/zero balance and if it reported it could help my ratios tremendously.

I think we all should hi-tail it over to PlaneBusiness and Epinions to protest this as well as to let other readers of shared letters know what is going on and how it hurts them. So many people NEVER see their credit reports and don't have a clue.
