Amex Credit Reporting...Ugh

My newest mission... getting Amex to report the high correct limits of all Amex cardholders everywhere. Instead, of reporting my correct and accurate $8000 credit limit and $3400 balance, they are reporting nothing in the high credit column and $3400 for my high balance. Today I contacted Amex's Credit Reporting Department (not very happy people). And, again, I got the line of "we do not report credit limits for anyone" Duh! I explained that this was hurting my score tremondously and it looks like I'm using 100% of my credit limit instead of only 42% (I know, still too high). Today I'm mailing off my letters to the three bureaus. Equifax seems to be the only one I will have any luck with. It is not fair. All I want is accurate information so someone can judge my creditworthiness (or unworthiness). I feel like revolting.

PS Thank you for allowing me to vent.

Perhaps a massive campaign of complaints to Amex? Anyone had any luck with Amex via PlanetFeedback? I really want them to report my Blue limit.

Add me to the list of people irritated about AMEX reporting. (I still love the SkyMiles though)

Have the BLUE from AMEX 11.99% product :
    opened 1/1/2001

As of 8/16/01, all three CRA's are reporting the CREDIT LIMIT of $5000

Never told them to do anything....

    Is your card fairly new?

Well it took 8months for them to start reporting it....

I had my Blue account since spring 2000, and they don't report the limit (at least not on Experian)

    Man, that stinks!!

Wonderful AmEx, and they treat people like that. GAG!! Makes me sick. I'm glad I didn't follow through on the Blue invitation. I'll just tell them nevermind, I want my limits reported.

Yes, if their customer service was as incompetent as their Credit Bureau Unit, they'd never stay in business.

Call that unit again, and ask to speak w/ Ms. Angela Selma - I've posted her direct # before, so you can try a search.

Maybe flooding them w/ negative customer feedback is indeed the answer.

I've had my Blue since December 1999 and they have never reported the limits on any of my credit reports. Thanks, Saar for the information. Will Ms. Selma report my limits or will I have the same conversation as I had with the Amex CBU rep? Thanks in advance.
