If you need to dispute an amex charge, do you click on INITIATE A BILLING INQUIRY or is there something else you are supposed to click on, provided I want to do it online?
The best and safest way to dispute any charge on any account is to write them a letter, certified preferred. Otherwise they may claim you never disputed anything. Trust me.
I think all statements (not just AmEx) say something like, "disputing by telephone does not preserve your rights." It needs to be in writing to preserve your rights under the law.
I disputed a charge on my AMEX Business card over the telephone and was immediately credited for the disputed item the following day. I have always had great service and response with Amex over the telephone.
