Hey all, I know most if not all C'neters do not use the extended pay option - sign and travel. But, Amex is giving 1250 MR points if you sign up for extended pay option on purchases above $200. The rate is a joke and I do not plan to use to service but the points are worth it. A rep called this morning and gave me the offer. So, for a free 1250 points, call and sign up. Willis
I got that offer too in the mail. If you have a decent amount of will power it's ok, but if you think you'll be tempted to use it to either travel more or buy more expensive items, then I wouldn't bother with it. So far I haven't signed up for it. I figure amex is making enough from me with the 395 a year.
I signed up for it just to get the rewards points. Your right, the interest is too high to use. If I were to use the card to pay for a vacation, I would just use a balance transfer check to pay the balance. BTW, no problems receiving the rewards points.
