Amex fell off Experian

American Express was not reporting my recent balance of zero on my Amex gold card to Experian because the date last reported on my 05/01/02 Experian credit report was 01/02.

I disputed the amount with Experian about two weeks ago by phone. Experian made my account disappear.

I called Amex's credit bureau unit at (954-503-3787) and they said they would have their computer add the account information back but not until the normal monthly update. I asked and they said you can get to this unit for free by calling the regular help number (800-327-2177) and ask to be transferred. Maybe Amex isn't paying their bill with Experian?

I wrote about disappearing Amex accounts in my
    Houdini post a while back.

Something is definitely going on between Amex and Experian.

When I first subscribed to CE , Amex reported like clockwork. And then in October, it all changed.

They blamed it on their new numbering system, but that can't be it, because the accounts appeared with the new numbers in March with incorrect info.

Any disputes and POOF! by April that Amex account was gone.

    Curiouser and curiouser.

Well, I like American Express very much but this is ridicules. I Have had an American Express gold card account in good standing with American Express since 1994. I will wait a wile to see if things get fixed. If not, I guess http://planetfeedback.com is the next step. Dose anybody else have any other suggestions?

    Suggestions?

    Spell Check for one.

Why do you find the need to be rude every time you post? It really isn't necessary.

Look LKH. I wasn't being rude. He asked for suggestions. Who the he** are you, the dang "nice" police? So many people run away from here because the "hall monitors" are watching for any variance from the norm. You are not the sole judge of rudeness, but thanks. If the poster thought I was rude, he can ask me, I won't mind. I just point out now that a spell check HELPS get one's point across. Of course, I make typos too.

Wondering why LKH is following me. I have never even addressed LKH. Hehe.

Not following you. Maybe you weren't trying to be rude, but it came off that way. The same way it did the other night with your comment to George. You may not be trying to be rude, but it does appear to be. By the way, you just did address me.

Oh LKH, you GOT me. You win, this is off topic anyhow. So, "Joe TALKED DIRECTLY TO LKH."

Thanks for being, well, just being.

Oh yeah, "appearing" one way or another is just enough to get your ire up. That is good to know. Now, I think I am "appearing" sarcastic. But am I?

Look, I wasn't trying to start anything with you. The way I read your response, it came across as being rude. He asked for suggestions regarding amex., not his spelling. Forget I said anything. OK
