I finall got approved for an Amex. Its only the Delta Skypoints card with a 1000$ I've heard people have had success with getting a CLI at activation. I too put only my Salary and not my flat-mates salary in the household income. Should I go that route? Or ask them to match my highest CL with Chase at $2000? Any suggestions welcome!
Congratulations on getting the AMEX. You might ask them to increase, I don't know how they are. I don't think I'd go back and say HH income was larger. It doesn't seem to take much for AMEX to ask for financial reviews, which mean they want copies of tax returns, etc.
you just ask for more $$ within a few days of getting approved, otherwise you will have to wait for 6 months. Amex generally speaking its easier to get MORE AMEX cards after some seasoning than wait for CLI's. I got a $4000 amex, then $12K, then 18K, then $31K, then $5k, then $10K. I keep them all. just avoid getting any charge cards that will trigger a F/R, bad stuff Stick to the credit cards. Give it some time. Amex is a great company.
