I am soooooo excited, I just found out this morning that I was approved for the AMEX Gold card this morning!!!!!! I will get my card within 7-10 days!! This is my dream card and I finally got it!!! I decided against the RWP card because I did not really see much of a difference between the Gold and the Gold Reward Plus except it was double the amount of the Gold card and I don't feel like paying 150 for a card every year. Sorry about the rambling, but as you can tell I am very excited. The last real prime card is the Diners Club here I come By the way my score was 683 on TU. Cypri

The differences are - Additional cards (up to 5) are included vs. $35 for each additional - membership rewards fee included (vs. $45/yr) - Double miles 1st year at partner travel providers (Continental, Delta, USair, Hilton, Starwood, Hyatt, Marriott)- after that, 1.5x For us- 2 cards, membership rewards, and my frequent travel it winds up a good deal. Actually, I did even bother with New Accounts, I did the app. over the phone and then called the More Dept about my pending application, they sped up the process and approved on the phone. I did not go through any reconsideration, I was approved on the spot after she pulled my TU report. I posted about week ago about not be able to get my EQ report, well that is still the case and the reason I did not get instant approval was because AMEX could not get my EQ, which is what they use in my area for Express Approval. So I asked them to pull TU and voila ! I was approved. mj: Thank you for the suggestions, but the extras with the RWP are not really for me right now, I will not be sharing my AMEX gold anytime soon, so I really don't need the extra cards.
