They had me in progress since 10/1/03. I saw they pulled another report last night - EXP showing 742. AMEX Preferred Rewards GOLD Card approved today! Well, I am very pleased about this - obviously, AMEX did a full credit review - FINE! Hooray - arrrfffffff - Dogman
Congrats DOG! btw - amex sometimes does pull 2 reports - they pulled Eq and Ex when i applied for Blue Biz i had 4 amex cards before the blue biz application - up til then they had only pulled Eq
Congrats, Dog! Patience paid off! Should I upgrade to pref rewards gold? What is the advantage? I currently have regular Gold + Membership Rewards. My Blue arrived today...as you would say "aarf!".

Yup - because remember I still had 3 negs left on only the EQX report - that is the one AMEX pulled. Before I applied, new accts told me that if it bounced, I would "be entitled" to another bureau pull. So - it sat in limbo until EXP was pulled yesterday - then boom - I was approved this pm. YEE HAAAH again aarrrooooo - DM
THX Platinum - now I have the cards I want, I am done I am not even interested in buying anything - BUT - I like the availability of RT businessclass to Australia for Christmas - if so desired.....desired

Wouldn't you know, Dog...I just called a rep to ask a question about Blue and Membership Rewards. After she got done I said thank you. She said: "Mr. NiceGuy, I show here in the system that you have been pre-approved to upgrade your Gold card to Pref Rewards Gold. Would you like me to send that out to you today?" Of course, I said "SURE!". This is amazing....

Speaking of $7100 Cap 1 - I just received a letter from them offering me $7130 cash loan at 14.9% APR (my current APR) with 36 months to pay it back at $250 a month. Of course I tore it up and threw it away. If they won't give me a $1,500 limit on my card with perfect pay history why will they approve me for $7100? Scam artists.
