Does American Express approve with any derogs? I received a "pre-approved" gold offer but I have two paid charge-off's from 1998. Would they offer this if I have derogs?
I can't answer your question specifically, but a couple of years ago I got a "preapproved" offer to sign up for the SECURED Optima. I sent in my money and the application and was denied because of a tax lien. They sent me a check back for my deposit.
I don't understand why companies waste the paper, time, postage etc. when the "pre-approved" term is a lie.
