AMEX sent me a letter telling me my Green Card was now approved for both the Sign & Travel and Extended Payment Options.

I am very pleased. It has taken me 2 1/2 years to get AMEX to let me revolve purchase over time. However, AMEX has NEVER denied me ANYTHING when I used the Card. I have charged nearly $20K in a month - with not even a drivers license check :)

    -----------------------
It is a bad interest rate - PRIME + 9.99% for Dogman. BUT - there is a grace period of 30 days for the revolving portions.

I know you PRIME AMEX dudes had the ability to revolve charges from the date of issuance, but Dogman had to pay in full - which has been great for me.

WELL - I called the REP at AMEX and asked about Extended Payment Option - on a Gateway.com
PLASMA TV for $2999 - and $1000 of options.
The minimum payment is 1/50th - $40 month for $2000.

I don't owe anything other than my car payment.
BUT, now that I COULD revolve a purchase or trip,
AMEX quickly works it way back to the top of the "BEST CARD" list.

There is no limit on the separate accounts; it makes that expensive Vail ski trip, Plasma TV installation, and little Hermie's orthodontia bill much more manageable if they all need to be done before Christmas LOL.

WELL - 11 months to a CLEAN, PERFECT, CREDIT RECORD.
BUT, thx AMEX - you have been a great partner to carry.

please note that i have been green with them since 1992, they were my first

last year i left town for about 6 weeks... i missed a payment on my sign and travel... now its up to 24.99

i called tonight the bitch said NO we wont lower it for a year no matter what you do, we have over one million others like you in default and we wont lower it for them, we wont do it for you

welp im about to pay $700 tonight and then i have about $500 left and then I will most likely say goodbye to amex forever.

    I am very disappointed.

Congratulations, Dogman!! Amex is my favorite issuer. They have been very good to me and very generous. Customer service has been superb and the benefits of cardmembership are unmatched. You deserve the best from Amex. After all, you are their best spokesman. Almost better than Jerry and Tiger. LOL :)
