Amex has a policy that you can't be approved for 2 cards within 90 days ( atleast with the credit cards) tried this and was denied. So I waited 90 days after the blue approval and went and tried another card, well it was clearly 90 days . Well they declined me, they rep stated it was 90 days from the approval grrrrrrr. just wanted to get another card and do a BT since they are not reporting new accounts, atleast that is what the reps told me. I thought I could hide another line.
My blue and they haven't updated green since 10/2001. Also my Better half ( or worse depending on my mood) has the delta card for 3 months, it doesn't report either.
I called and ask about my blue and the rep stated they were no loner reporting new accounts. She didn't give much detail. Why I have no idea, but I BT to the blue to hide the line.
Thanks, Bailey. PsychDoc had mentioned that they told him that Blue updates once every 6 months. I'd like to BT, but the BT rate is 9.9%. My purchase rate is 0% right now, and I don't know how to "purchase" my balance from Citibank in a timely fashion. Internet pay services usually have caps on how much money can be moved around in a given period of time.
Hmm every 6 months. well that still may be true, you never know what reps tell what and why LOL. But I found it odd that after I got blue in October my green card stopped updating the same time I was told this. Prior to that my green updated 2 days after my billing cycle like clockwork?? I do remember someone else stating that Amex was going to start to not report, don't remember who but if they see this maybe they can add something.
Wait till the 90 days are over© Call New Accounts© Ask to speak w/ a Supervisor© Ask him/her to reinstate your application© BTW, they do have discretion and can override the 90-day rule if they want to© My Amex accounts haven't updated on my reports since 10/2001 & 11/2001© Saar
