    Check your Experian report.

Everyone here at work has had their Amex accounts
    completely deleted.

    (Including me!!)

I have no idea if this is permanent.

Wonder what is *really* going on. . .

Maybe Amex didn't pay it's Experian bill on time and got it's services cut off... :) Or vice versa...

Whatever it is, I bet it's one awesome fight!

I wonder if Citi is next...

I wonder if people with negative tradelines from Amex had their accounts deleted as well.

I'd have to imagine they didn't.

    Dear Platinum Card Holder:

Thank you for your continued loyalty to American
Express. As a Platinum Card member you are one of
our most valued customers. And as we've done throughout the years, we're continually striving to serve you better by offering extraordinary new benefits and services.

    EXCITING NEW BENEFITS

We've added over a half dozen new benefits to
your Platinum Card this year alone including
complete deletion of all credit history on your
    Experian report!

    NEW FEES

Raising fees isn't something we take lightly. However, due to the rising cost of providing you
with these unparalleled benefits and services,
we will be increasing our annual fees.

Sorry. Couldn't resist. As I mentioned, I am one
of Amex's biggest fans. I sincerely believe that they
    offer "world-class benefits" and services.

I just don't know what is going on with their Experian
reporting. I suppose they aren't required to report, but it seems as if they would report to the "big three."

Did anyone call AMEX to ask why?

Remember they are under no obligation to report to any bureau(s).

This is the flaw with credit scores. There is no repository that has ALL information on a consumer. Only selective information is in the file. This is part of the frustration we all have with CAP 1 and others not reporting limits.

Who knows what AMEX is up to, but perhaps the non reporting of credit information, good and bad, could be the basis of a class action.

    Mine still there as well.

Last update 2/2002 only because I called their "credit reporting" department 4 times to get them to update. My last update was stuck on 11/01 with a very high balance compared to Feb. with $9. They are obviously still having issues.

    How hard can it be?

Mine IS reporting the credit limit.

    Only one of the flaws.
You have a better chance of successfully doing a hand stand on a dime suspend in mid air than you have of having an accurate score!!!
