If I apply for a AMEX Delta Skymiles and then list my fiancee (who already has an AMEX) for the additional card (they do ask for SS #) does that imply that I am applying for a joint account? And I apply as a joint w/ my fiancee (who already has it) would that increase my chances of getting it?
    My fico is 627.
    THANKS!

I think "JOINT" is NOT what the additional card is...I think it is just AU...(authorized user)...

Not too many applications have "JOINT" any more...DON'T ASK ME WHY...

DISCOVERCARD says on their applications or on-line if you want a "JOINT" account you have to call or write for "SPECIAL" paperwork or application...

    Fiancee may help some...COULDN'T HURT...

It is my understanding that you need at least a 650 FICO to get any AMEX product. So, if you really want the card, have him apply for it and then list you as an additional card. I'm not sure if adding him as a 'joint' applicant will increase your chances or not. Same goes for if he applies and puts you down as a 'joint' applicant........I'm not sure if you'll still need a 650 or not?????? Maybe someone else can advise.
