I decided to throw my hat in the ring also. Exp 674, avail credit 47%

    I got the following response...
Thank you for successfully completing the account application for Membership B@nking. We are making every effort to complete your enrollment and will notify you as soon as possible of the final status of your application.

Is this good, bad, or indifferent?

    I got the same response.
    Experian 736
    97% revolving available
    No negatives-EVER
    125K/YR income

Appearantly, if I had a previous BK, late payments, scores in the low to mid 600's or was a full-time student I would have been approved instantly. Then I could go back and get approved for a second LOC.

Yes, this is my first post. I discovered this site on CardRatings.com when someone posted a list of related sites. Good to meet you all! :)

I applied for the Amex LOC today after reading all the posts about it here. I got that very same response. Being the pessimist that I am, I assume I'll get a nice denial letter in 7-10 biz days, LOL. But hey, you never know...

    George,
Last night I applied online for:
    1. Chase Continental Platinum Visa- pending.
    2. Fleet ePlatinum-pending
3.GetSmart Visa- approved $1000 line. WTF

I followed your advice and waited till I closed on my house. Why have good credit? 1000 credit line. My Amex Optima is 20K. WTF is going on?

Thanks!! I called the 888# to see if I had an acct. # for the LOC--I did get it, but was only approved for $3K. WTF? I realize my income is low (about $32K btw 2 jobs), but other than some outstanding debt, which has *always* been current, my record is spotless! They also didn't mention what interest rate I was approved for--with such a crappy limit I'd expect it would be prime+5.99%. Still, it beats MBNA's 13.99%, so I'll be transferring a partial balance as soon as I get those checks!)

Yup. I was surprised to see that they had me down for prime+2.99%--I guess I'll get over the low CL if I get that! Is the prime rate around 6.25% now?

The number to call is 1-888-356-1006. Follow the prompts (your PIN is your last 4 digits of your SSN). From what I've read on the board so far, if they recognize your SSN and PIN they'll give you your available CL (assume this means accepted), if not--denied-?
