It was an approval for me.

They sent me an e-mail that it was pending. the e-mail said prime+2.99 and that is what I ended up with. Don't lose hope, it took almost a week before I found out it was approved. I kept calling the 800 number and hit 0 to speak with someone almost every day.

I called the number and entered my SS# and then entered the last 4 digits as the pin. Selected option 4.

I got a account number starting with a 8........ something and the loc is $8000. Does that mean I was approved?

about 3 days ago, right after I read the amex loc threads from saar.

I was able to register the account number I aquired thru the 800 number. It seems to be in the process of being setup.

Wow This month I have been able to aquire a citibank platinum select with a $10.000

And if this amex loc is real another $8000.

I will be able to transfer all my 24+ apr accounts and save at least $350 in interest payments.

thanks Saar for posting the amex loc thread.

and also thanks theother for posting the 800 number.

Yes, it should be real. That is how I originally found out about my first LOC, but I didn't believe it until the rep told me yes. The reps kept saying it was pending for a few days after the automated system told me it was there. It was kinda strange.

    Congrats!

did you speak to a csr or did you just use the automated system to find out apr?

I spoke with csr first and she told me i was approved. I then called to see if she gave me all of the acct number and it was correct

I called and spoke to a csr today, my loc has been approved and the apr is 12.49.

But then she told me since the interest rate has drop .50 my rates with reflect a drop also next month. So the rate will be 11.99apr.

not too bad. Way better than 23.99 apr on some cards I am carrying.

There seems to be alot of people being approved for the Amex LOC. If you don't me asking, what was everyone's Experian score, how long have you had credit established, and do you have any negatives? Does Amex require any security to be involved? Example, your house or banking account? Thanks in advance.
