AMEX LOC - Visa Platinum Check Card

While lots of people are wondering HOW MANY LOC ACCOUNTS Amex allows, I do not have to worry.
They politely declined me - but it wasn't too bad a reason considering the Chap 13 has two more years on record:

"The information in your application did not score a sufficient number of points for approval of the application. The reason(s) you did not score well compared to other applicants are:

serious delinquency, and public record or collection filed - time since delinquency too recent or unknown."

They were relatively nice - when my FICO goes up, I may get it. It was a long shot.

NEXT - I opened the envelope containing my new Platinum Visa Check Card - well - now my wallet is completely dressed. AND, you can link up to 5 checking and 5 savings accounts to the PLATINUM VISA CARD!

I hooked three accounts - and get interest - and get my fees ultimately free if I combine all accounts. Get this - because I have overdraft on my GOLD CHECKING - now linked to the PLATINUM ACCT - and 2 other savings accounts also linked, this true
cash management card means I will virtually NEVER
be turned down. Cool - and powerful when you think of using this check card for a hotel deposit hold.

If you use this card for a hotel deposit, there are several available accounts from which to put the hold,
again, allowing no embarrassment!
OF COURSE, I always use AMEX Green for these
activities - but this account gives you a lot of available cash or purchase power!

This works just like the Fidelity AMEX Card - except it doesn't report. The Platinum Visa Card looks great!
Actually, anyone would be proud to pull this out at a dinner and pay the bill! Very well designed!

The amazing thing is: with the AMEX LOC application, they were in control of the decision.
With the Wash Mutual Platinum Account, I decided
to utilize their premium product. I was in control - I approved THEM!

Wash Mutual, incidentally, sent me a thank you letter the next day after I opened the account.
I opened the PLATINUM ACCT on Mon or Tues this week, then already received the CARD today.

It looks dynamite - and when I called the REP and linked other accounts, she was VERY POLITE - hmmm....PLATINUM POLITE! I expect that Wash Mutual has put in a premium division - both in products and service!

The CARD: PLATINUM - very intricate design - looks
excellent - better than expected. It has Washington Mutual in black letters across the top right, and in small letters below the logo:
PLATINUM CHECK CARD - in very small print. It hooks to PLUS- INTERLINK - STAR networks for cars and VISA for purchases.

I will read the Platinum Visa Checking benefits and limits and post them later.

Washington Mutual has continuously delighted me!

AMEX still delights me - hey it was a reasonable AMEX business decision at this current time, and it was a LOC - which obviously should have higher credit standards.
