George you may want to hit the option to speak with customer service?? I am sorry but I "think" this sounds like a denial, the automated system should have your info by now if you were approved
I just decided to take the plunge after reading the all this stuff. This is the message I got when I applied today "Thank you for successfully completing the account application for Membership B@nking. We are making every effort to complete your enrollment and will notify you as soon as possible of the final status of your application." I just called the 888# and it gave an account number and 15K credit line. Thank you very much guys for the encouragement and the info. Wow! Who would have THUNK it.

Superadam, I sure hope you do. This has been an amazing week for me. Prior to last Monday I had about 11K of credit limits, I have picked up about 50K in credit lines this week. I got them from Amex LOC, citi doublerouski, MBNA Platinum, Chase Continental Platinum and Macy. I am having a great christmas and I wish you the best of luck with Amex.
