Does anybody know credit requirements for this card? I know the minimum annual income is $20,000, but what about creditwise?

I have: 18 month credit history, no inquiries in past 8 months, all accounts at least 6 mo. old, $0 balances on all but one card ($1000 balance--$17,500 limit). My income is much greater than $20,000. Do I stand a chance, or is my credit history too short?

What other cards do you have? If you have another AMEX card, it will not be difficult to get. Even if you don't have another AMEX card I still think you have a good chance to get approved because you have a very good debt ratio (5%). I actually got this card a few months ago, but it was my second AMEX card (Blue was first).

    Good Luck!!!

Amex wants to see one or two (according to different reps) open accounts of at least two years old in good standing. That is for their credit (not charge) cards.

I guess this is a new policy for AMEX credit cards because when I got the Blue card I had 3 major credit cards in good standing for only 6 months or less. By the way, what are their charge card requirements?
