Guys, how does your AmEx Plat report to the CRAs re" credit limit? I have no pre-set spending limit on my AmEx, and my credit limit reports as N\A. Is there any way around that? PawMix
nope, I have the green rewards and it reports the same way with the balance and high balance. Only recommend that you charge an expensive item, then keep utilization below 50%. For example, if you charge 500/month then make sure one month you charge past 1000 dollars to be due, so that it will report on your cr line as 1000 high balance. Did i confuse you or did this make sense?
No confusion, I understand. So going by the high credit is the only way? That's rather good, because my high credit is listed at about $60,000 thanks to moving from one continent to another 2 times a year for the last 2 years. Thank God that it's not my actual balance........ PawMix
well, in one way its helpful for us consumer savvy people that FICO uses bal to high credit for utilization, but I feel sorry for the uneducated credit population. Furthermore, Amex cannot report a limit on a charge card that has "no-preset spending limit."
