Jason (hope you see this - if not, I'll cross post to CardWeb). Got the invite last week to upgrade from Gold Rewards Plus to Platinum. The Platinum bennies seem nice ... but I stay at Westin/Hilton/Marriott _a lot_ and really like the 1.5 points per dollar that Rewards + Gold offers. Is this something negotiable ...or do I just keep the Gold card and enjoy the extra points.

I also have the RPG and kinda prefer it over the Platinum for a few reasons: 1. free additional cards 2. borrow 10,000 Membership Rewards points 3. 1.5 points like you mentioned for hotel and air partners The platinum is only worth it if you travel over seas and cruise a lot.
