I recently applied for the Amex Platinum Charge card.

    My FICO is 790.

    Have

    a MBNA Platinum Plus Visa--limit $9,000
    a Citibank Gold Card--limit $12,400
    a Fleet Fusion Card--limit $10,000
    a Citibank Click Citi--limit $4,000

All accounts are R1 status, never late, no bankruptcy, no nothing!

    Income--$120,000

Do you think I will qualify for the Amex Platinum Charge card.

Thanks you all! I just signed up and this is my first post!!

Yes, if 1 account is 3 years old,one is at least 2 and the rest are over 6 months old. Also your utilization should be less than 25% and NO negatives.

And if they don't give you the Amex Platinum Charge card, they may give you a Gold card (and you can apply for an upgrade)

You should have no problem at all receiving the Amex Platinum card. You appear to have the credit, income and FICO needed to get the card.

BTW, how did you apply? Did you apply online or by mail? Good luck to you and keep us updated.

    Welcome and enjoy the board!!!

I loved it when you posted to LizardKing that you have 4 visa type accounts and 5 retail ( department store ) charges with a 790 credit score.

Credit scoring is very complex. Occasionally, someone will mention that a score that high is usually seen in consumers that have 1 or 2 visa amd 1 retail account along with 1 installment loan.

Anyway, welcome and best wishes regarding any card you apply for.

I don't know if you surf. I used to before an injury.

Recently the best rated surf beaches in the world were found in Hawaii and Florida.

My daughter and I still get out the body boards at Huntington Beach. We love it.

    Best wishes
