Has anyone been getting any preapprovals online when you "log in to apply" for a card? The only preapproval I have been getting is to add another card to my existing acct. I want a 9.99 blue but have never gotten a preapproval for it. btw, this has been like this for the last 2 months--the only preapproval I am getting is the option to add another card to my account. And this is after I just made a 5k payment to them last month! Any tips or tricks you guys know to get a 9.99 blue?
I had a gold charge card from 9/00-11/01. That acct is cancelled; had a plat charge card since 11/01. I also have a plat cash rebate card that i've never used... think i could trade that in for a 9.99 blue??
11/01, you account has to age some atleast 6 months, they should offer you something when you hit 6-7 month mark.
but I've had an amex since 9/00. They just converted my gold charge to a platinum charge I think, (because the front of the card says member since 00)

You can convert your Cash Rebate to the Blue. If customer service won't do it, ask to speak with MCS. Possible APR's are fixed 9.9%, 10.9%, 12.9% or 14.9% Saar
I've had my acount for almost 2 years, and my fiance has had his for almost a year and a half. The only thing that shows up for us is to add an additional card.
