AMEX REALLOCATION of existing credit limits (BLUE & DELTA GOLD) is taking FOR-EVER!!!

I called two weeks ago...they said no problem.
    I called back after 2 or 3 days...said wait for a week.

IT IS 2 WEEKS on SATURDAY or SUNDAY!!!

I thought it should take 10 min MAX!!!

I asked for 5,000 miles for their MAJOR DELAY...their answer..."WE NEVER SAID HOW MUCH TIME IT WOULD TAKE...5,000 MILES...DENIED"

    Hey George.

When I combined a Delta SkyMiles w/an Optima Platinum card about a year ago, they did it instantly over the phone. Have you tried calling the Centurion Bank? They usually can expedite matters relating to credit lines and such...
    Good luck.

And, no, you're not impatient...I'd be royally pissed if it had taken this long!

Ha! That's actually funny that you mention that...I cancelled my Gold Card about 2 years ago and I swear to God--- AmEx flags all your accounts when you do that and automatically transfers you to the dumbest, most useless CSRs in the company.
It's as if once you cancel a charge card with them, you become a second rate card member.

Maybe it's worth paying the (now $90!!) annual fee just to get some decent customer service...

And I was just about to cancel my gold charge. I may keep it now. However, I still do not think the MR points are worth the annual fee.
