Then we seem to agree on most issues, Hal. As for re-affirming, in that sense, it means reinstating an ultra-prime credit product (Amex Platinum) for people w/ less than perfect credit. It's not wrong per se, but Amex targets the lowest credit risks when it comes to Platinum. As I said, the annual fee for this card probably can't cover both Amex Platinum perks AND the cost of retaining high credit risks. Saar
