Just got a new printed Terms and Conditions enclosed with my Amex Green Charge statement.

IF you use the revolving Sign & Travel credit line, and you are late, you now hit the new AMEX default rate of 23.99%! I pay the whole bill monthly in full - but - 23.99% are Providian rates - geez!

There was a good change - quite a lot of flexibility for the charge cards....AMEX will now let you transfer a portion of outstanding MONTHLY Charge Card balances to revolving terms. It is quite clear that AMEX will make the decision for those accounts that use this - exactly what the limits will be on these
    transfers.

    best regards -

I don't feel I am credit worthy enough to get a AMEX card yet. I do plan to get 1 later despite the $55 fee. AMEX has a lot of benefits and is a high quality card. Dogman, what is the non penalty rate for sign and travel?

    Dog-

That's the same penalty rate for all Amex revolving accounts (if memory serves me).

The non-penalty rate "standard" seems to be PR+9.9 (14.something%) ... but some folks (me) have gotten "marketing test" rates of 3.99%+PR.

Nice thing about S&T and EXPO is that since they report as part of your Amex account, they don't penalize your ratios (OPEN or CHARGE vs. REVOLVING). There's no limit for S&T/EXPO other than the internal "exposure limit" Amex has set for you.
