AMEX asked who you bought your house from for ID purposes?

Does AMEX now have access to the county recorder's office for property transfers?

I WOULD NOT KNOW THAT ANSWER!!!
THEY WERE NOT THERE...THEY HAD AN ATTORNEY AT CLOSING.
I PAID "WAY" LESS THAN THEY OWED...CLOSE TO FORCLOSURE...

Thanks for all the feedback everyone....

It is now wednesday almost five days since I was declined at the grocery store. I sent in all information they asked for, they made me get it notorized at a bank...I was told it could`nt be notorized at a non-financial institution. The security people said I would get a call back from their dept within 24 to 48 hours of recieving my documents. I told them it was strange that I activated the card and used it the day before to buy breakfast and there was no problem.

If this card was`nt the best looking one I have ever seen, it would have been cut up the minute I got off the phone on saturday.

Thanks to the help of this board I made it to the AMEX promise land and I am trying my hardest to see that AMEX has the standards in which I have heard so much.
