I referred my sister to amex and told her to apply for the DELTA card, she instead applied for the cash rebate card ( now we know how much those 2 cards sound alike LOL). She got denied with a 695 EQ, stated balances were too high. Should she try again for the delta?? This just occurred late in July 02. Not sure if she should try again right away for the delta?? Is the delta still easier to obtain then the others, or is there another amex card she should try for?? She has the already has the blue. Thanks
Hey, I am guessing that she should pay down her balances, because if that was the ONLY reason she was declined, that has to be it? On some posts, I have read the order of easiness is: Green card is easier to get than the Blue. You say she has the Blue. After paying down her balances, can she call them and ask them for a suggestion of another card, or perhaps a product transfer/upgrade? I don't know how many AMEX cards you can have. I don't know specifically about AMEX, but I know some cards want 30-45 days between applications. You could do a search on the board about the Delta card. Even if this doesn't answer your question, at least your post got moved back up to the top. ;-) Good luck to her.
Thanks for the reply and bump. The funny thing is her balances were higher when she got the blue LOL. I am just not sure if she should wait awhile and then apply for the correct card ( delta)?
