Anyone know who I should talk to about this? I just got my privista report for the week and it shows that Amex pulled a hard inquiry on my report on 1/24/02. I have no idea why they would do this. Who and how do I contact Amex about this?
If the hard inquiry is on Experian, just dispute it online. They'll remove it. EQ and TU are harder to deal with. You may just have to send a ltr to Amex. Just say : never applied for credit. remove inq.
SOUNDS FAMILIAR... They will probably say that you did APPLY for credit... PROVE YOU DIDN'T!!! If you have an existing account they can pull "HARD"---REASON OR NO REASON...(even if they do AR'S every month...
