I need to know what kind of card mix will boost scoring for hubby. Last night he got the AA Citi silver and gold (he will try to combine for 12,000 limit). He also has a sears 450 and Target Visa 500.00. Is that enough?

I think about 1/2 of your total household income is a good round about number for the amount of credit you and partner should have.

Thats just what i go by.

I wouldn't expect any bump in scores for awhile. It's one thing to have an account but it's another thing to have it help. It'll be at least a year of positive history before CRA's will start to give it weight in the scoring models.

Between me and my fiance, we have more than 2x our household income in revolving credit lines.
