Someone from this board, should go into the collection agency business and *buy* our old accounts from these other bureaus. Then let us pay you what you paid for them and DELETE them from our files.

    Doc.......hint hint

no seriously is there such a thing? like a company this will negotiate debts for you such as buying them and letting you pay them for removal?

can only a lawyer do it for you? or can just anyone "purchase" the debt, and then not report it?

I think you can ask a friend to buy your debts, then ask him/her to removed the tradeline....hehe..just a thought.

I thought very seriously about doing this as well!! Starting a business (CA) in which I help people with credit problems "buy" their debt. But I think the systems used here can allow you to not pay these tradelines instead.

There was once an article about a company that does just that. The name of the company was Junum (not affiliated with junum.com)

Why not just buy your own debt? $0.01 on the dollar sounds fair.

You'll still have the original creditor's dings, though, right?

    A better idea...

Why hasn't anyone written a virus that completely wipes out the credit bureaus data files?

Not that I endorse that idea...

I read about a guy who did just that in INC magzine a few years ago. He had some very serious money problems so he bought his debt for pennies on the dollar.

Funny thing by buying bad papers [as it is called] he became very rich.

I do not think you need to be a lawyer, to do it. Just call up the company and ask for their bad paper dept
LOL and see if you can buy your own debt.

They may make you buy a certain lump sum at a time....shoot who knows.

    just a thought.

Let's say a consumer has a friend purchase his debt from a collection agency. Will that CA now list the debt as paid?... Or would they just delete? Would your friend have to subscribe to the CRA's in order to delete the debt?

I believe the CA would come off immediatly because they no longer have the right to report. Every time a CA sold my debt, they removed the tradeline. If not they would be "duplicates."

I am curious about original tradeline. They can no longer report "sold to CA..."

I thought about this sometime back and looked into it a little bit. I found some information on it but not about buying individual accounts. About the only thing I could find was group purchases. They would say that they had 400 accounts worth 400,000 but they would sell all the debts for 25,000. Those figures are close to one of them that I saw for sell. That is what has had me and a friend of mine thinking about seeing if we could do that. I have a friend of mine that has started and ran two different collection agencies but I am not close enough to mine that I want to let him know about my problems but would really like to have him answer some questions for me.

Please ask him questions and post for all of us to read. Experian is only 40 miles from my home and I thought about seeing if I could get a job there just so I know the "behind the scenes". Plus how they verify etc. and use it to my advantage. lol
Does anyone know somebody who works at the Credit Bureaus?????
