Hi All, I just wanted to share with you what happened with my case. The CA filed a court dismissal on Feb 19. My lawyer said they can never try to take us to court again. You were all so right about SOL being an absolute defense. Those bastards were just seeing if I'd bite, and try and make pay arrangements to get me back on the hook. But we told them we would fight, and that they were going to have to pay for all our court costs, and then we sue them for violating the fair collection act, They dropped everything. Thank You all for the great support. I was so frightened, and uneducated about my rights. I couldn't have made it through this with out you! Thanks so much! Robin
Good job!!! Did the CA offer any $$$$ for your legal fees and settling any outstanding violation issues? If, not, you will just have to give them another legal drubbing.
