My husband has an Arrow collection showing on his EX.
    It says:
    Arrow Financial Service
Account #: 336XXXX (Whole Acct # Given on EX)
Original Creditor: AFS ASSIGNEE OF LEVITZ
    Status: Paid in Settlement
    Date Opened: 09/1998
    Type: Installment
    Reported Since: 07/2002
    Date of Status: 07/2002
    Last Reported: 07/2002
    Terms: NA
    Monthly Payment: $0
    Responsibility: Individual
    Credit Limit/Original Amount: $120
    High Balance: NA
    Recent balance: NA
    Recent Payment: NA
Creditor's statement: Account legally paid in full for less than full balance

I had the Validation letter all ready to go in the mail CRRR today but he decided to call them just to see what they would tell him about the account. We don't remember having a Levitz account, I hate that store and if anything was purchased by DH, it is WAY past 10 years ago. DH wanted to see if they would tell him the DOLA because we know the date open is very wrong.

They couldn't even find the account number in their computer and when DH gave them his SSN they started spouting off about some old BofA stuff from 1992 and 1995 that don't even begin to match the listing on our report. A few years ago when they called us regarding these, we knew they were wrong. We let a Personal Banker at BofA handling some family stuff for us, search for him in their system and they found nothing. So we sent a Cease and Desist Communication Letter and told them to KMA.

Secondly on DHs TU they have no TLs but in 2002, they did pull his report 3 times. Is it too late to go after them for these? If it is past SOL then no PP, right? Or not even bother? I am hoping that beginning with pulling PGs each day as I started this week will bump these.

I sent them the validation letter today CRRR and tweaked it to say I want Validation of what is on the CR not what is on their computers. Because they can not find the account they are listing on his report.

I plan on disputing with EX when I get the Green Card back but it seems based on others experience here, that they won't respond. I believe that even if this is DHs, It is FAR BEYOND the applicable reporting period.

Any other advice from those of you that know and *LOVE* Arrow???

As long as an account is still open or closed with a balance, they have a pp.

SOL unfortunately only comes up if they try to sue you on the account.

Some would argue that it would border on misrepresenting the legal status of the account, for any collection activity to be done on a past-SOL account, but its not firm, and unless you would have other violations against them it'ld be a very shakey arguement.

Now, if they pulled his report while under a validation request that was never fulfilled, then it would be collection activity before validation... :)

Can anyone enlighten me as to what Violations I should look for? As in, is there anything Arrow is known for doing?

I can't attest to Arrow, but I can attest to Experian's treachery. One of their rep's told me to my face, and in open court, that they could not include "Creditor's Statement" in their reports. They did on your DH's. They said the same thing for "Paid Under Settlement". But they did on your DH's.

These people will stop at nothing to report what their subscribers tell them to.

1*Creditor's statement: Account legally paid in full for less than full balance,95207Chick . I believe this indicates there is no balance.

It does show no balance for the one listing on his report.
But that isn't in their system. It's just those old two BofA ones that are past 7 years and I know aren't valid that they told my husband they have in their system.
Do they have pp to pull on an account that is 8 to 11 years old?
