I seem to have sparked a debate...didn't mean to do that, but I appreciate everyone's advice. One more question ,though. When the cards come in the mail, as an AU, will I get a card with my name on it, or is that just for joint users. And is there a way to go from being an AU to making it a joint account? Thanks!
You will get a card with your name on it. don't know about the joint question. I'd be curious to know.
Yes you will get your own card with your name on it. As for going joint they would pull your credit and base it on that I believe.
When i got an AU Amex Optima Gold, it was a separate # from the parents, and was separately tracked (UGH!). Visa/mc are usually same # and different name.
I thought. that you got a card with both members name on it. ARe you saying you get your own separate card? roni
RE: I thought. Yes Roni, the 2 accounts my hubby is an AU of mine on, he got his own card with his name on it.
That is True Except for Capital one. If you want to add a joint account member they other parties credit isn;t taken into considration only they orginal applicant .
