I just posted a ? about a ca trying to collect from my son.

I just read the notice and it says "your delinquent account has been reported by them to The Credit Index, a consumer reporting agency. Details of your delinquency will now be available to credit granting subscriber firms when you apply for credit."

Hahaha this is a direct marketing database. I guess you could call it a credit reporting agency, but.....

They sell lists of profitable consumers to the direct marketing industry. That means direct marketers will stop soliciting his business. :)

    Scary, huh?

Perhaps I should accept some DM offers and then not pay so I could get off the telemarketing lists I am on.

    Here is their website

Perhaps we should do them like we are doing Innovis?

That's a good idea. They keep track of your address, as well as your name, and offers that are made for "buy now, we'll bill you later" deals.

Seems like we should be able to opt out like the cra's, shouldn't we?

I hate this total lack of privacy! My info belongs to everyone except me :(
