TJ's (my favorite store in the world) offer this card in the '90s. I applied and was declined but offered a regular Cap One secured.

I wonder if Cap 1 will ever go the way of Monogram Bank and Household and issue regular retail cards. I think there were several members on the board that received solicitations from Cap 1 for the T.J. Maxx card. I want to say it was around December. If I am not mistaken Breeze was one of the first to receive the solicitation and promptly threw hers out. LOL I have not seen a lot of news about this card since nor I have I received any solicitation for it. I think maybe they are starting to really push this card now. Especially with the uncertainty of K-Mart.
They have been pushing. My wife got one- $500 cl. She has not used the card and there it sits in her purse. Best regards, Mirage
It use to be people card, cap 1 sent me the papper to get one but I just got a gold card from them. I hope after the 45 days are up they send me another one.
Brenda, TJMaxx is used to be issued by People's Bank a couple of years ago. My brother applied for one and they denied him because excessive inquiries. Actually Capital One has been promote almost six months from now and they sent me a couple of offers. The Monthly fee is $6.00 and the rate is 19.8 % fixed APR. I didn't apply for one because it is a bad term. Ron.

Ron, I'm on the mailing list for TJ's, I've been getting the emails regarding the card for a month now. But what I was trying to say earlier was that TJ Maxx had a card in the 1990's also and that I applied. I was turned down for TJ CC, but was offered a Cap One secured. Same concept, x% back on purchases @ TJ owned stores. At the time it was just TJ's and Marshalls. Retail store APR too. Something like 21%.
Re: Another Capital One co-branded Desdemona, I remember they have some kind of Visa/MC a long time ago and I didn't apply for ut because I had bad credit. Cap 1 offered me a TJX Visa for many times and they offer subprime terms. I didn't apply for it and I got Kmart MC. They offer better than that. Ron.
Re: Another Capital One co-branded I'd apply but I am pleased to say that I now have 6 cards including 2 Cap 1's. Thanks for the info Ron
Re: Another Capital One co-branded King, I have 2 cap 1 cards (one is Cap1 Classic MC and one is Kmart MC). I have more than enough and I don't want to apply anymore. I wanted to save it for the carloan. Ron.
Re: Another Capital One co-branded Ron I soooo want to apply. I have pretty much fulled our new house with TJ's stuff. But I am on the credit wagon and we need a new pool heater and new windows. I'm still having problems with Exquifax, they won't remove anything, thank God no one pulled them in 2001. But the other two are load with inquires so.. as God is my witness.. I will not apply for credit in 2002.
Re: Another Capital One co-branded Ms Desdemona, I don't apply anymore because I need a car loan. I don't want to put more inquiries in my report. Thanks for your reply. Ron.
