Congratulations! Your credit line can be immediately increased by $1,200.00 for a total new credit line of $7,400.00.

During the evaluation process, a credit bureau report was not pulled.

Please indicate below whether or not you accept this amount, or if you want a lower credit line, call Customer Care at 1-800-950-5114.

I would really like to combine my Citi accounts to reduce the number of open accounts on my reports but it's hard to pick up the phone to do the consolidation when I know I'm getting regular increases on both accounts.

    I may need help. :)

I just did a search to see when I posted about the last increase I had on this card. It was on 4-22. Looks like the increases are coming exactly three months apart.

    Dave,
How are your payment patterns with Citi...carry a balance, pay in full each month, combination?

I, like George, get nothing from Citi (automatically) as far as increases...they have given me several low interest no fee balance transfer offers though on both Plat Select and AA cards.

    TIA

The account I got the increase on today has $2,000 left on a 2.9% BT I did paying off my Providian account. I did the BT at the time I opened the account and the 2.9% rate expires next month.

The original amount of the BT was $4,000 and I've paid a little over $2,000 in equal installments since December.

My other Citi account I use and pay in full each month.

Thanks for the info man, have you gotten an increase on the card you use and pay in full yet?

    Peace, Dave

Yep. On 6-11 I got a $1,500 increase on that card. That means my next one is due on 9-11. Yikes.

The original limit on that card was $9,000 the increase put me at $10,500.

    Congrats.

Now that I have seen that you get increases and I do not, but we use our cards similarly (BTs on one paying large sums monthly without much use and the other higher APR card I pay in full) I have to come to the conclusion it must be something else... I just remembered something Saar had posted about income...maybe they do not have my income on file or something (I think it was on the app but not sure).

My EQ FICO is 720's...I will call Citi and see if they have my income on file or not.

Thanks again for all the good information LVDave.

    -Peace, Dave

FWIW they have never done any account review inquiries on me, ever. So it really does have to be something that's not credit report or score related.

EVEN THOUGH I HAVE A 0.00% BT...I have been rounding the min. payment up to the next highest $100.00 (PAY THE DAY THE STATEMENT IS AVAILABLE OR A DAY OR 2 LATER) and then make a second payment a few days to a week before the payment due date of another $100-$200...

    MIGHT HELP...MIGHT NOT...

SINCE I HAD TO DO A BDD TO GET IN THE DOOR IN THE FIRST PLACE AND A 1/2 BDD TO GET A LIMIT INCREASE...I'm not holding my breath!!!

[edit] I ALSO HAVE PAID THE ACCOUNT IN FULL ONCE (EVEN THOUGH THE 0.00% BT WAS NOT EXPIRED YET)...didn't help!!!
