    DOCWATCH.COM

"National Medsearch or DocWatch.com was founded by a collections company, Coastal Recovery Services, Inc.,that saw the challenge facing medical offices to collect payment for services preformed. Collection customers often inquired about ways to identify potential non-paying patients before providing service. After consulting with collection and HIPAA attorneys, the project was approved for operation.

Originally the program was designed to assist regional medical facilities in identifying a risk before becoming a collection problem. Today The Patient Qualifier can assist all heath care facilities. It will allow any hospital or clinic to â??scoreâ? accounts before assigning them to in-house collectors. This will allow facilities to save thousands of dollars on unnecessary collection expense. Along with the qualifier, the model is also the ultimate collection tool for your collectors. They have regained the lost leverage to collect on past due receivables."

"We are referring less and less to our collection agency because of DocWatch.com!"
Office Manager Dr. Jack Boone, DDS.

"Finally a collection tool that works. DocWatch.com has allowed our staff to identify new patients that have a history of not paying for medical services which has saved our facility thousands of dollars. I wish we had it years ago!"
    Administrator Albemarle Family Practice

"Our staff thoroughly explains to new patients the program and they now think twice before not paying. Collections are finally fun!"
Patient Financial Director Medac Urgent Care

"The service paid for itself in just one week. What an incredible program."

Are they saying that the hospital will DENY these patients service if the meet their "problem payor" profile. It is my understanding that a hospital has to provide services thru the emergeny room regardless of ability to pay issues.

    Hi Mandy,

This Data Base appears to apply mostly to providers rather than hospitals.

I know that those who require emergency treatment cannot be refused.

    :)
