I closed on my new house on the 19th. Mortgage was for $140K and my monthly PITI are 998.00 and my interest rate is 5.875%! My scores were pulled at the beginning of the process and not since. My scores were 698 678 and 635! I got a $1000 gift certificate to Lowes courtesy of the builder. We finished moving in yesterday! (Whew!)

    Thank you creditnet!

BTW, I had 1993 BK7, 1998 BK13, 2 pd collections, 2 unpaid collections and still had no problems. I did not have to pay the unpaid ones.

It is sooooo nice to be in my own home!

    helpwanted,

I used Watson Mortgage (through the RE Agency) they did a direct sell of the mortgage to Chase Manhattan Mortgage. I got an FHA loan and put 3% down and rolled the closing costs into the loan.

According to an FHA website a read a few years back, you can get and FHA loan with a 620 or above.

CTX Mortgage is also a good company to work with and they have loose lending standards. My brother was able to get a good loan from them a few years back.

    Hope this helps

    SCMom,

Congratulations!!! I haven't talked to you for a minute, but I am also in the process of buying a home. Did you get your home through Seppala homes? I looked into their homes also. You mentioned CTX Mortgage, I was wondering about them, as I looked at some homes that they have. Can you provide me w/ some additional info about them? Thanks for any info.

PS: Have you heard anything about Ryland Mortgage?

    Congratulations!

I'm in the process of buying my first home too but I might have to go conventional. Do you know if I will be allowed to roll up closing costs to the loan?

Your successes here at CN is just what I am looking for. It means that if I keep my head above water, continue to payoff bills, fight the evil CRAs and CAs, I can eventually be in a position to buy a home on my own. I have a feeling my ex will be kicking me on the curve real soon. lol.
