Another Derog Deleted!

I got 2 letters from CSII today stating that the account had sent for deletion. I faxed them over an intent to sue last week and got the letters today. Good thing. I gave them until the 26th, and was in the process of drafting a lawsuit. Whew!

So, with that comes some questions. I have 2 different letters from them saying they were sending it to all 3 bureaus for deletion. Should I make copies and send them to the CRA's as well (or fax them)? I suppose this might be a dumb question as I'm learning you can't trust them for anything.

Secondly, Can they re-report this debt after it has been deleted? Is there any way it'll show up on my reports again?

Also, how do things that do not bear my correct SSN or a variation thereof, end up on MY report?

Thanks again for all of your help. This goes to show anyone who gets those ledger sheet printouts or computer screenshots, that it can be done. This was an easy one. I'm still relying on you guys for help on the hard ones.

It also goes to show that if you are serious and read the FCRA and FDCPA and lay it all out for them in a letter (7 pages for this one), it helps out a lot. I stated every violation, the law they violated, and how much it was going to cost them. Easy to read.. hard to dismiss =)

The "smiley face" was for you JimR or whatever your name was!

I can answer part of this one having just received some "agreed to delete" letters at the same time I spoke with the CRAs by phone getting an update on an investigation in progress.

When the CRAs told me they had "verified" tradelines that I knew the CAs had agreed to delete, I asked if I could send them letters. They said, "Sure, as long as they are on the CAs letterhead, no problem."

The CRRR letters to EQ, EX and TU went out this morning. We shall see!

BTW, congrats on the delete. I'm having some good luck myself and it always feels good to hammer them!

One of the more "difficult" CAs will be getting a surprise visit from the local sheriff in the next few days! LOL!

I once heard of people forging these leters on the CA's letterheads to have items deleted. It seems the CRA would verify them though.

Honest to God. This was offered to me as a "credit repair" service. Seems that would get you into mucho trouble in the future.

Brace yourself for another round of nightmares. I have a number of such letters, and I have sent them several times each to all 3 CRAs. Each time, they screw up something -- they delete the late pays, but leave the past due status unchanged. Or vice versa. It defies understanding. I have had the best luck with Experian, who agreed to call the creditors directly after much pleading on my part. Eventually, the derog will come off, but be prepared to fight. The inertia is incredible. And in addition, even after you dispute and they get it wrong, they will try to make you wait another 30 days while they reinvestigate. I have sent one letter to EQ via fax 5 different times, and each time they have a different response.

This is the hell I'm going through with Equifax. Sent them the delete letters from the CA, and they just started an investigation. I gave them the name of the person to speak to AND a number.

After their investigation, the letters came back VERIFIED!!!! WTF! I called the CA and asked why they verified. Apparently, they hadn't sent the tape yet, and I was still in their computer.

Shady. So, the CA told me to just wait at least 2 months to see if it deletes. If it doesn't, then I can start getting bitter with Equifax.

    Whatever! I'm bitter with everyone!

    Congrats Mr. T,

    You're making good progress.

BTW that's why ya don't wanna draft your complaint until the last minute.

    rblues,

    Personally, I'd sue the B*******!

I hate the games these uneducated McDonald's rejects play!

I just sent out one CA "agreed to delete" letter to each of the 3 CRAs yesterday. If they don't delete, I'm going to (depending on the mood I'm in at the time) request a UDF from the CA to send to the CRA or SUE THEM!

    Good Luck

The Universal Data Form (UDF) is the standard form used by furnishers to submit to the CRA's to make changes in tradelines.

    :)
