Not sure if you have noticed this, if you have pardon me.

When a statement of dispute is filed, the CRA must note in future credit reports that the account is disputed, either by using the consumer's statement or some distinctive coding/wording of their own.

I am sure that many of us have disputed an account, then applied for something and the report that the 'potential' creditor pulled did not reflect that the account was disputed.

    VIOLATION!!!!!!!!!!! See FCRA section 611(c)

The next time you are able to apply for credit with a creditor that pulls a report while you wait, ask them to see the credit report and check. I bet they violated this rule.

PLEASE correct me if I am wrong...

Product liability, lbrown59? Did you give yourself a paper cut when opening the credit report envelope? (Somebody, please wake me up from this bad dream.)
