I have a total of $76,100.00 LOC vs $54,714.00 balance, which means I've used about 72% of my LOC. I have an account with $15,000.00 LOC reported by TU as "Closed by grantor". The proper report should say "Closed by consumer" or "Closed by grantor - requested by consumer" - reason enough to dispute. The question: should I dispute it trying to make them delete the TL, because after that I'll have a total of $61,100.00 LOC vs 39,714.00 balance, showing that I've used about 65%, which will increase my FICO? Your opinion, please ...

Yep, I do owe $15,000. It's an account under "Credit Protection Plan" - no payments or charges until you're unemployed for up to two years. Does it make sense now?
Dispute away, but be aware that they're allowed to report closed accounts with balances as long as they actually do have balances.
I know, reddevil. The reason for dispute would be they have it "closed by grantor", while it should be "closed by consumer" ...
