Who the hell do these people think they are? 2 1/2 weeks ago when I bought my car, I called around to a few insurance co's. for estimates. One of them, Farmers, took my info and was to call me the next day. This was June 25th. I never heard from them and obviously got insurance elsewhere. Every company I called for estimates, I asked if inquiries were to be pulled. The ones that said yes, I told to forget it. Farmers said no. Well, today I get an estimate in the mail. It was prepared on July 9th. Right on top of things huh guys. I checked my TU report tonight and guess what? Yep, Farmers pulled my credit on July 9th. I will be going into their office tomorrow morning. I've had it with this b.s.

LKH - i would recommend sending a demand lettter for $1000. This is what Kristine did and got money from it.. I checked out Bayhouse forums and it seems to work well!

I wonder if a C&D (INQUIRES~~~HARD or SOFT) combined with a $1,000 DEMAND would work???

Can you post a sample demand letter. I have inquiries on my credit report that I don't have any idea who inquired to see my credit report.

I would call the cra with your report in hand, and ask them who these inquiries are from. They will tell you.

This is the new law about the insurance. All the insurance company run your credit report before they find your premium. If your credit is bad , your insurance premium will be higher. because now insurance company came up with a new trick to make money and they said if you are a person with bad credit or in financial distress you have more chance to do accident. I totally disagree. their point ? It is statistically proven. Actually that is not the fact but excuse ! I think the lobbying with washington by the insurance company made this think to be happened.Make sure to write your Senator or congressman/Congresswoman about this Bull Sh*t law.

They may all do it, but by law, they must disclose to the consumer that they will be pulling their credit report.
