My brother received Lowes Platinum Visa pre-approval from Capital One today. He got pre-approval because he is a preferred Capital One cardholder. The APR is 19.8% var. prime +15.05 or 24% fixed depends on credit history. No interest and no payments on all Lowes purchases over $299 until August 2003. There are 3 ways to apply: 1. Telephone 1-800-899-7111 2. In store:Bring the In-store Lowe's Visa Certificate to Lowes store. 3. Mail : Complete the Mail-In Acceptance Certificate and return it in the enclosed envelope. Mail it o: Approval Department . P.O. Box 85546 Richmond VA 23285-5546. I'm surprised that the card has no rewards like Target Visa and interest is high. I cannot find anywhere to apply for the card on the Lowes websites and it is mail offer only. I have two Capital One credit card accounts and they didn't send me the offer. By the way, the certificate doesn't need the empolyment and income and it only need SSN, DOB, and signature. Ron.
