Lost my job what a mess. Used to have A1 credit. Had to stop paying all my credit cards. Have one judgement filed against me now with more to come I am sure.
Can credit card debts turn into judgement liens on my home? If so, how long after a judgement is granted would the company wait to do this or any other action?

I live in Ohio and the property is in my name as well as my mother's. I drive a 1988 car and have no assets other than the house.

Some sites say they can take my home, others say they can't touch it. I am at a loss.

    Thanks for any advise.

Is there a mortgage on your home? If not just deed your interest over to your Mom.

If there is a mortgage see a lawyer about putting the property in a trust.

Creditors don't pursue a lien against your property unless there is equity. Did you ever file a homestead to prevent this? If not it's too late now because the debt has been incurred.
