Hi, we are getting a mortgage, through a 3rd party lender, who is selling the loan of course. They are selling it to citimortgage, who probably would have never even considered us for a prime mortgage. I had a CC with them in 1993 which was discharged in a 1994 BK. I have read on these boards that Citi blacklists people, that I will probably never be able to get another card from them again because of this acct included in the BK. (they denied me for a checking account from them a year and a half ago but TU was still listing the Citi acct erroneously, it isnt on there anymore) However, do you think this situation is grounds for a "BDD situation"? I would love to do business with them again!
Credit card "BLACK LIST" is totally different than MORTGAGE... They buy $500,000 to $1,000,000 or more in a "BLOCK"...(they really don't care who you are...I assume)...
So just because I have a mortgage with them it probably wont improve my chances for a CC...... Oh well, I can dream! AMEX, here I come!!!!!
I should have been able to get in the FRONT DOOR but couldn't...so I had no choice but to do the "BDD"... It is POSSIBLE that they may offer you a real "PRE-APPROVED" PLATINUM SELECT...who knows...
